Hex Trust Selected as the Only Licensed Custodian in APAC & The Middle East to Support Celestia’s Mainnet Launch

Hex Trust Selected as the Only Licensed Custodian in APAC & The Middle East to Support Celestia’s Mainnet Launch

July 25, 2023

25th July: Hex Trust, an institutional-grade digital asset custodian licensed across global financial hubs, has announced it will support Celestia at its expected upcoming mainnet launch and token generation event (TGE). Celestia is a modular consensus and data network, built to enable anyone to easily deploy their own blockchain with minimal overhead.

Hex Trust is proud to be appointed the only licensed custodian from APAC and the Middle East to support Celestia’s highly anticipated TGE. Hex Trust will provide its institutional clients with custody services for Celestia’s token (TIA) via Hex Safe, a proprietary institutional-grade platform that delivers solutions for digital asset protocols, foundations, financial institutions, and the Web3 ecosystem.

In addition, Hex Trust is also running a validator node on the Celestia network enabling clients access to staking services for TIA. This allows staking rewards to be earned from day one of the TGE. Hex Trust’s corporate development and strategic investment arm, Hex Trust Growth, is a supporter of Celestia Labs and is delighted to support Celestia’s mainnet launch with a full suite of custody and staking services.

Celestia is a new technology that powers, scales and secures web3 applications. To achieve this, Celestia introduces a new blockchain architecture to solve the core scaling challenges of today’s blockchains. This new architecture is called modular blockchains.

Calvin Shen, Managing Director at Hex Trust

“We’re delighted to be supporting Celestia, and the TGE as a licensed custodian from APAC and The Middle East, given the significant importance and high levels of investor activity that these regions have in the digital assets sector today. We look forward to continuing to strengthen our relationship with Celestia and providing the highest levels of custody and staking support for their growing ecosystem.”
