Finance & Human Resources Manager

Hong Kong  Full-time

Hex is a rapidly growing company that seeks a suitable candidate to support the company in Finance and Human Resources (“HR”). We are looking for an experienced financial accountant to undertake all aspects of financial management, including corporate accounting, regulatory and financial reporting, budget and forecasts preparation, as well as help support Hex’s HR requirements, inter alia, payroll, benefits coordination, and employer annual returns to tax authorities.


  • Manage all accounting operations including billing, A/R, A/P, GL, cost accounting, revenue recognition, etc …….
  • Coordinate and direct the preparation of the budget and financial forecasts and report variances
  • Develop long-term business plans
  • Prepare and publish timely monthly financial statements
  • Coordinate the preparation of regulatory reporting
  • Research technical accounting issues for compliance
  • Support month-end and year-end close process
  • Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting
  • Manage and comply with government reporting requirements and tax filings
  • Reporting to management and stakeholders, and providing advice on how the company and future business decisions might be impacted
  • Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls and minimize financial risk
  • Planning, organizing, and controlling the activities and actions of the HR department
  • Contributing to the development of HR department goals, objectives, and systems
  • Creating and revising job descriptions
  • Developing, analyzing, and updating the company’s salary budget
  • Maintaining and revising the company’s handbook on policies and procedures
  • Performing benefits administration
  • Overseeing recruitment efforts for all personnel, including writing and placing job ads
  • Maintaining department records and reports


  • A degree in Accountancy / Finance / Economics / Business Studies a must.  
  • 3+ years of overall combined accounting and finance experience
  • HKICPA or equivalent beneficial
  • Thorough knowledge of accounting principles and procedures
  • Experience with creating financial statements
  • Excellent accounting software user and administration skills
  • Good communication skills (written and verbal) in English
  • Must be detail-oriented, taking pride in the quality and accuracy of work they produce, and a desire to probe further into data
  • Commercial and business awareness and ability to stick to time constraints
  • Able to work independently in an often ambiguous and fast-paced environment
  • Good negotiation skills and the ability to develop strong working relationships
